Lisa Cutler: Hi, I’m Lisa Cutler from the Butterfly Program. Today, I have a question for you. How exactly do you add value to your business? Imagine that you were asked this question by your CEO. What would you say? How would you respond? This is your chance to make an indelible impression. Let me give you a couple of examples.
Well, as a sales person, I’m responsible for bringing in $10 million worth of new business into the organization every year.
Another one, as a customer services representative, I speak to about 50 clients a day. I make sure their needs are met, they’re happy and satisfied, and they will come back and purchase our products and services instead of going to the competition.
Knowing how you add value to your company is an important part of your personal brand. Having a clear and strong answer to this question, preferably backed up by statistics, is really good for your confidence. It’s also good for your performance review, for your resume, and for salary negotiations. It’s a great way to introduce yourself to a senior executive or CEO in your organization.
